ABOUT THIS PRACTICESaju has been used for over a thousand years to map personality, timing, and life cycles. It works from a single fixed input: your exact birth date and time, encoded as eight characters across four pillars.
I trained in classical Korean Saju methodology and I approach every chart with the same framework: identify the structure, locate the dominant elements, trace the current cycle, and assess where you are in it. Readings are written, specific, and explained. You will understand the why, not just the what.
Saju (사주) translates as "four pillars" and refers to the four cyclical columns derived from your birth year, month, day, and hour. Each pillar contains two characters: a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch, giving eight characters in total. These map your elemental composition across the five agents: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.
The chart is not fixed fate. It describes your elemental baseline, the tendencies and pressures built into your constitution, and the luck pillars that shift every ten years. Understanding your chart means understanding your timing, and timing is where most decisions go wrong.

Yes for most readings. The hour pillar is one of the four pillars and changes the chart significantly. If you don't have an exact time, a birth certificate or hospital record is the most reliable source. I can work with an approximate time in some cases, but I'll flag where that introduces uncertainty.

Saju shares the same classical framework as BaZi (Chinese Four Pillars), but the Korean tradition has its own interpretive lineage and methodology. The underlying system is the same; the way it's read has developed differently over centuries.

Length varies by reading type. A Day Master Profile is typically 400 to 600 words. General and specialist readings run longer, usually 800 to 1,200 words. The goal is precision, not length.

One round of follow-up questions is included with every reading. I'll answer them via the same channel your reading was delivered. Separate readings are booked and paid for individually.

Not currently. All readings are written. This is intentional: a written reading can be re-read, and the reasoning is visible in a way that a verbal session often isn't. I also like to take my time channeling any additional messages, and sometimes this can take a bit of time.
